National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) invites YOU to join the fight against cancer by participating in the Relay for Life Kuala Lumpur 2009, from 30 - 31 May at MSN Training Stadium, Bukit Jalil.RFL is 16 hours of non-stop fun and excitement, where teams of people of all ages and from all walks of life come together for this noble cause by camping out at the stadium and taking turns walking or running around the track.How can you participate?
1. By registering at www.cancer.org.my as a participant, registration fee is only RM10.00/pax.
2. By forming a relay team of up to 10 members, register, take a pledge card and help raise funds for cancer awareness
3. By becoming a volunteer for RFL KL 2009 or NCSM - we welcome all volunteers, the more the merrier!!
RFL KL 2009 starts on 30th May 2009 at 6pm and ends the next day on 31st May 2009 at 10am.
The programme outline : 30th May 2009
6.00 pm Start
1) RFL KL 2009 Opening Ceremony
2) The Survivors Lap - Survivors of cancer take center stage and walk the first lap to celebrate their victory
3) The Luminaria Ceremony - A celebration to honor and remember those who have fallen in the cancer battlefield. A luminaria is a small bag filled with sand holding a small candle which will be lit throughout the night
4) All night entertainment, games, competitions and races
31st May 2009
1) Night camping
2) Midnight Movie
3) Endurance Race
4) Morning exercise
5) Light entertainment
6) RFL Closing Ceremony – Final lap around the track.
10:00 am End
